A look at our latest project, the 1932 California Tudor Kitchen. This house is such a special home, the amount of character and original detail that has been preserved for almost 100 years takes your breath away when you walk in. Our goal with our clients was to create a space that married their individual styles with the historic charm of their beautiful home. We wanted this new kitchen to feel like it had always belonged in the space, so we pulled design queues from the home's original millwork and architectural details like arched walkways, original tile work and a Spanish plaster fireplace.

Some of our favorite before and after moments includes replacing the doorway between the dining room and kitchen with an open archway + creating a more functional and bright sink and cleaning zone complete with a 1930s french coolie sink sconce to match the faucet + knocking down the pony wall to the dinette and exposing the support beam which we wrapped in white oak to match the shelves and connect to the wood floors found in the home + the vintage inspired charm of the upper cabinets with hand painted hardware and folky cabinet vents + removing a window to create a dedicated cooking zone with a zellige tile backdrop and a very special plastered arch range hood that mimics the homes original fireplace.
